Short Life
Short Life is a physics-based obstacle course with epic and hilarious accidents. Control your character to escape dangerous traps and survive until the end.
Game Mechanics
- A "ragdoll" process is used to construct the character. As long as your essential organs are not destroyed, you can continue crawling to the finish line even if you hit a trap and lose or injure body parts.
- The only goal is to lead the character to the finish line via a path lined with traps.
- Three stars are positioned in challenging areas on each level. To achieve a perfect score and unlock additional characters with distinct appearances, you must collect them.
Different Types of Traps
- The levels aim to "trick" the player using unforeseen traps:
- Fixed traps include deep trenches, ground mines, and spikes.
- Automatic guillotines, swinging spiked balls, and rotating saw blades are examples of moving traps.
- Interactive Traps: When you step on switches or arrows protrude from the walls, heavy bricks may fall.
Strategies for Gameplay
- Remember the Map: Similar to "Dash" games, you often fail a level on your first attempt. To discover where the traps are and how to avoid them on subsequent plays, you need to "sacrifice."
- Patience: Sometimes it's more important to wait for a saw blade to pass than to try to run as quickly as possible.
To successfully navigate the traps and cross the finish line, hone your agility skills.
The game emphasizes character balance and center of gravity:
- Arrow keys move the character forward and backward.
- Jump over pits or low barriers with the up arrow key.
- Down arrow key: Crouch to dodge flying saw blades or arrows.
